Haley Johnson started her dance training at the age of 4 at Pure Dance Studios, in Surrey. Since the age of 7, she has been training solely with Dance Trance, under the direction of Suzanne Zelmer. Haley is a multi-faceted dancer specifically trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and hiphop. Along with classes at Dance Trance, Haley has also taken workshops with Triple Threat Dance Conventions. Haley had the pleasure of being a team member of “Swingin’ Singin’ Rhythms” tap group (2007), choreographed by Suzanne Zelmer, which received first place at every competition, as well as many high score awards, choreography awards, and was third runner up in the Dance Power Abbotsford Championships, competing against many provincial standing dancers. She has partaken in the RAD exam process, with her last exam being a mark of Distinction. Haley understands what it takes to succeed, ………hard work, sweat and fun. In the summer of 2005, Haley had the honor of travelling with Dance Trance to perform in Disneyland for Disney’s 50th anniversary celebration on the 4th of July. Since this, she has worked on the t.v. set of “Eureka” and has assisted Suzanne Zelmer in the casting session for the Polly Pocket Disco commercial. Haley has been Suzanne’s assistant now for several years, and is now ready to spread her wings and take her own classes. We are excited to have Haley join our team of teachers for the 2008-09 season.
